Henry Hinkle, Chairman
Henry Hinkle brings almost four decades of experience to his role as Chairman of Hinkle Construction Services, LLC, including work on major projects such as the Mountain Parkway Design Build Project/Campton Interchange extending East 3.5 miles; U.S. 68 Paris Pike/Lexington Road, Somerset Northern Bypass I-66 from Cumberland Parkway to U.S. 27, and the widening of U.S. 27 from Somerset to Stanford Road.

Henry is also the current Chairman of Hinkle Environmental Services, LLC. His former roles of note include but are not limited to: President, Hinkle Contracting Company, LLC (2010-2012), President, Hinkle Contracting Corporation (1982-2010) and Vice President, Cumberland Quarries (1978-1982).

Henry is a past Chairman of the Kentucky Association of Highway Contractors (KAHC), and a past Chairman of the Kentucky Crushed Stone Association (KCSA) as well as the Plantmix Asphalt Industry of Kentucky (PAIKY). He is also a Board Member of Kentuckians for Better Transportation.

Thomas S. Hinkle, President
As President of Hinkle Construction Services, LLC, Thomas S. Hinkle is responsible for the company’s long term planning and strategic guidance. Tom has been an integral part of the Hinkle family tradition since 1978, when he joined the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the Hinkle Contracting Corporation. Since then, Tom has served as Maintenance Division Manager (1987-1989) and Vice President of Quarry Operations (1990-2008) of the Hinkle Contracting Corporation. He has also served as Executive Vice President (2009-2012) and President/CEO (2013-Present) for the Hinkle Contracting Company. He is also the current CEO of Hinkle Environmental Services, LLC.

Tom’s experience at Hinkle Contracting Company includes responsibility for the strategic planning, growth and over-all corporate profitability of the company as well as responsibility for all aspects of the company’s asphalt paving operations (including asphalt plants and lay down operations) as well as the company’s 15 limestone quarries. Major projects during his tenure at Hinkle Contracting Corporation and Hinkle Contracting Company include but are not limited to the improvement of Paris Pike from two to four lanes between Lexington and Paris, Kentucky, rebuilding I-62 from Cynthiana to Georgetown, Kentucky and the improvement of I-27 in Somerset, Kentucky as well as the widening of U.S. 127 to five lanes in Casey County from KY 70 to Liberty, Kentucky.

Tom is a 1979 graduate of Centre College with a BA in History. He is also the current Chairman of Kentucky Association of Highway Contractors, a past Chairman of the Kentucky Crushed Stone Association (KCSA), and a board member of The Road Information Program (TRIP), a national organization based in Washington DC.

Chad Conley, Executive Vice President

Chad Conley has been a member of the Hinkle family’s businesses since he began his career in 2001. As Executive Vice President of Hinkle Construction Services, Chad is responsible for the management of the company safety program as well as the overall management of the company’s work.

Chad’s experience includes his work at Hinkle Contracting Company, including Vice President of Construction (2011-2012), Grading Division Manager (2009-2011,) Project Manager (2003-2009), and Cost Estimator (2001-2003).

During his career, Chad has been involved with numerous heavy/civil highway construction projects. Among those projects are the construction of an earthen dam for a Kentucky Utilities coal ash containment pond in Ghent, Kentucky, the construction of a CSX Transportation railroad yard in Sylvester, West Virginia, and a Design/Build project to widen the Mountain Parkway in Wolfe County, Kentucky.

Chad is a registered professional engineer in the state of Kentucky. He earned his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky in 2001 and was named “Young Construction Engineer of the Year” by the University of Kentucky’s Department of Civil Engineering in 2009.

William J. Hinkle, Vice President
As Vice President of Hinkle Construction Services, William Hinkle oversees the company’s estimating and administrative needs.

Will’s industry experience includes but is not limited to his work as an HDR/Quest Engineering Project Engineer; major projects included but are not limited to work on the designs of the I-75/71 Ohio River Bridge Replacement Project and East Nicholasville By-Pass.

His experience also includes work as an Estimator and Project Manager for Hinkle Environmental Services (2011-2012).

Other major project experience includes work as Project Manager for the West Virginia Department of Transportation’s H-Pile Installation Projects at Walkers Branch Road, Wayne County, and 4000 CY of Roadway Excavation in Spencer County, Kentucky.

In November of 2012 Will became the Vice President of Hinkle Environmental Services. In addition to his responsibilities at Hinkle Construction Services, LLC, Will is currently the President of Hinkle Environmental Services, LLC.

Will holds a Masters of Science degree in Civil Engineering (2009) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (2007) from the University of Kentucky; he also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with Minors in Mathematics and History from Centre College (2005).

William A. Brophy, Director of Field Operations
William Brophy has been a part of the Hinkle family’s team since he took a summer job in 1990, working as a Heavy Equipment Operator, Laborer, Flagger and Survey Assistant while also working for his B.S. degree in Construction Technology at Eastern Kentucky University.

Will’s professional experience includes his work as a Project Manager/Landfill Manager (2005-2010), Assistant Division Manager (2010-2012), and Construction Division Manager (2012-2015) for the Hinkle Contracting Company. As Construction Division Manager, Will managed the grading, landfill and concrete construction division as it performed Kentucky highway projects, airports, commercial developments, and landfill construction projects. Other major projects and responsibilities during Will’s career include management of the construction of contained landfill cells, COD landfill cells, and major KYTC projects including railroads, subdivision development, and utility lines.

Will holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Technology with a Minor in Business Management (1995).

Will is currently the Director of Field Operations for Hinkle Construction Services.
